Elimination diets are exactly what they sound like. You eliminate certain foods. Why do they work?
Because once eliminated, the calories aren't completely replaced. This leads to a caloric deficit which eventually leads to weight loss.
Elimination diets can also help rid yourself of foods you have poor reactions to. If you notice certain foods give you indigestion, make you achy, or leave you lethargic and hungry, it makes sense to stop eating them.
The two most extreme elimination diets that come to mind currently are vegan and carnivore plans. One you eat only plants while the other you eat only animals. Two extremes that many have had success with.
This extent of a change can be hard for many. A simpler, less dramatic approach may lead to more success for most.
If you aren't ready to eliminate a large chunk of your food selection try this instead.
