One of the current books I'm reading is The Success Principles by Jack Canfield. The chapter I finished this morning speaks about being an "inverse paranoid". I had never heard of this term until reading this book. When you hear the word "paranoid" you probably think of someone who believes that someone or something is out to get them. An "inverse paranoid" is someone who believes the world is out to do them good.
I think this is a powerful mindset that could benefit myself along with many others. If we approach situations with a positive attitude, expecting good from every interaction, then our world can be changed for the better. We take what typically might be viewed as a negative outcome and look for what we can learn from it. We come into difficult situations knowing we'll come out the other side improved in some manner.
If we believe every opportunity, relationship, challenge, and obstacle throughout our lives will better us then not only will we improve our lives, but we'll improve the world around us.
How can your next conversation, failure, or success enhance your life? Approach each moment expecting good to come from it.
